James Cadman
Managing Director
Accredited to Foundation Level competency with APMP, James leads ‘from the front’ to guide teams to apply best practice techniques to convey measurable benefits accurately to clients. He is also fluent in business French. James has a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams for technically demanding and diverse bids, improving win rates for both public and private sector tenders. He is adept at understanding clients' needs, building effective relationships and creating value propositions which drive revenue growth whilst maximising win rates. Expert in answer planning, bid writing, editing, knowledge management, process improvement and requirements capture, James designs and delivers bespoke training programmes. His documents are always compliant, compelling and complete, exceeding expectations and adding value.
He is also skilled in document collaboration tools, Social Value strategy and the principles of ISO 44001.
Lauren Robinson
Associate Bid Writer
Lauren specialises in bid writing and has 20 years' experience covering various sectors including rail, highway maintenance, education, retail and housing maintenance. Her roles and experience include managing PQQs and bid processes, working with site teams to collate technical content and evidence and running answer planning sessions using mind maps. She challenges narrative so responses answer questions in plain English and has developed tools to help operational teams identify real win themes that focus on client drivers. She always applies proposals best practice to turn around content within tight deadlines.
Karen Whittle
Associate Bid Writer / Bid Manager
Karen is a proficient Bid Writer and Bid Manager with over 30 years of experience working across sectors including Infrastructure, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Retail, Residential, Industrial and Heritage. She efficiently manages bid processes and has worked on many PQQs, tenders, frameworks and post-tender interview presentations for both public and private sector clients. With a meticulous nature, Karen clearly understands client requirements and produces winning technical content to tight deadlines, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Jeremy Cadman
Senior Associate
Jeremy is an experienced educator, trainer and consultant in people management and business development. He draws on over 40 years’ experience of varied employment and project roles and now delivers high quality consultancy within the public and private sectors. Formally trained as a teacher of Physical Education, followed by several years of successful sales experience in FMCG, Jeremy has become a recognised expert in supporting individuals and teams to win major contracts. Always leading ‘from the front’, he combines coaching, facilitation and training to deliver exceptional results. Jeremy is a confident and relaxed communicator who is skilled at quickly motivating a team through a friendly and persuasive approach. He loves a challenge and is assertive in demanding the best from others in the quest to achieve success.
Nathaniel Houghton
Associate Bid Writer / Bid Manager
Nat is a skilled Bid Manager and Writer, specialising in the legal industry and with experience in the recruitment industry. He manages panel appointments, matter specific RFPs, capability statements, fee quotes and presentations. Nat is experienced in end-to-end bid project management including pre bid and post bid follow up stages. In addition to bid management and writing, he has led numerous projects including building bid libraries and integrating bid technology. Communication and project management are Nat’s key strengths, and he enjoys managing teams of senior stakeholders to deliver bids for strategic clients. Nat has always operated globally and is flexible to different cultures and working styles.
Adam Saraswati Rawlings
Head of EDI and Consultant Bid Writer
Adam is an experienced journalist and educator who has worked in the social justice and EDI space since they were 18. During this time, they have delivered dynamic equality, diversity and inclusion training to businesses who, with Adam’s help, have been able to develop their practice and approach to creating inclusive cultures. Adam is also a skilled bid writer who has worked on large-scale infrastructure bids and on projects across several sectors. Outside of working life they are senior editor of The New Feminist magazine, speaks five languages and is an avid home cook.
